STONES ONLY DOING ONE QUEBEC CITY SHOW

The Rolling Stones announced yesterday they're rescheduling one Quebec City concert date and outright canceling another. This isn't the first time the seemingly-septuagenarian rockers have changed the dates either. The single date will now take place at Le Collisee Jan. 5. Originally, it was announced the Stones would play Oct. 10, this was then altered to dual dates Jan. 14 and 15. The changes come on the heels of the band's decision to play Madison Square Gardens in New York, Jan. 14 and 16. In order to honor the 20,000 tickets already sold for the two concerts, the stage for the evening will be set up to allow 360 degree viewing. Canuck rockers Our Lady Peace, who were to open for both shows will still be on the Jan. 5 bill.

GREEN DAY DID MANAGE TO DESTROY $1,000 WORTH OF STUFF AT HMV SHOWCASE WEDNESDAY

While D.A.M.N. was right yesterday when we declared a downtown Toronto HMV was spared the destruction Green Day caused at a New York City Tower Records recently, the boys did manage to cause some property damage. In a press release issued today, Warner Music Canada says they'll be picking up damage costs of $1,000.83, resulting from the band trashing its rented instruments at the end of the HMV set. A few thousand Green Day fans jammed into a 16 foot-wide alley behind the store for the performance. Anxious Chart staff were anticipating a Tower-like riot where Billie Joe Armstrong spray-painted "Nimrod "(title of their new album) and "Fuck You" on the store window, equipment was smashed and CD racks pillaged to the tune of $50,000.

CENSORS TO SMACK UP THE PRODIGY's NEW VIDEO

It's not likely the new Prodigy video "Smack My Bitch Up" will be getting heavy rotation anytime soon. The video features lots of sex, drugs, violence and a topless lesbian who walks around a club vomiting on people, grabbing breasts of other topless dancers and fighting. MTV has already given the thumbs down to the video and CANOE's Jam! Music site reports Muchmusic will likely only consider the video for its 2Much4Much or RU Receiving shows. The song, which features the sample "Change to pitch up/ Smack my bitch up" from the Ultra Magnetic MC's, is already a singalong hit at some hockey-hair bars this D.A.M.N. correspondent has had the misfortune of entering (seriously).

BOB MARLEY TO BE HONOURED IN "CANABIS CUP" HALL-OF-FAME CEREMONY

Anyone flying to Amsterdam next week will want to high-light this on their calendar. High Times magazine will be hosting a gathering of cannabis experts and activists called the "Cannabis Cup" Nov. 24 to 28. The high point of the week will be the first annual "Cannabis Hall of Fame Awards," to be held Nov. 25. Bob Marley will be the first inductee. Don't forget your roach clip...
